How do I set up my daycare?
Download Maliah Classes from the App Store or Google Play, or open classes.maliah.ca. Create your account (the same as a Maliah account, if you already have one), then the daycare: its name, groups, spots and ratios.
I already have a Maliah account. Do I need another?
No. Maliah Classes uses the same accounts as Maliah: sign in with the same email.
How do I invite an educator?
Open Team and invite them: they get a code or a link, create their account and join the daycare with educator access.
How does the classroom tablet work?
Install Maliah Classes on the tablet and set it up as the classroom tablet. Each educator unlocks it with their PIN; what they log carries their name.
How do I invite parents?
Give parents the group’s code: in the Maliah app, they enter it with their child’s first name and date of birth. You can also send them the child’s link from Families.
Do parents need to download Maliah Classes?
No. Maliah Classes is the team’s app. Parents use the Maliah app.
How do photos and consent work?
Group photos go only to families who consented. For a child without consent, the team can see it and their parents don’t get group photos.
How do I stop getting messages in the evening?
Set your quiet hours in “Me and this space”: messages still arrive, but without notifications outside your working hours.
Where is children’s data kept?
It’s encrypted and hosted in Canada, under a policy that complies with Law 25, PIPEDA, the GDPR and the laws that apply where you are. Details are in the privacy policy.
How much does Maliah Classes cost?
Nothing: Maliah Classes is free for the daycare and its whole team, with no ads.
