Get started in four steps
- Download Maliah Classes (or open classes.maliah.ca) and create the director’s account.
- Create the daycare and its groups: ages, spots and ratios.
- Invite the team by code; each educator has their own account, and the classroom tablet unlocks with a PIN.
- Invite families: in the Maliah app, parents enter the group’s code with their child’s first name and date of birth, or open the child’s link.
What about parents?
Parents don’t install Maliah Classes. They enter the group’s code in the Maliah app, where they find the group’s feed and photos, the day’s report, their child’s progress, messages with the team and absences to report. What they keep in their home journal stays theirs.

Frequently asked questions
Is Maliah Classes really free?
Yes. The app is free for the daycare, its director and the whole team, on iPhone, Android, tablet and computer (classes.maliah.ca). It shows no ads.
Does it work for a home daycare?
Yes. A provider on their own can create a daycare with a single group, log the children’s day and invite families. The director tools are there if the team grows.
What do parents see?
In the Maliah app, each parent sees only their own child: the group’s feed and the photos they consented to, the day’s report hour by hour, progress, messages with the team, and they can report an absence.
Can we log the day by voice?
Yes. Say “Snack for the whole group, Leo half” and it’s logged, under your name, at the time you said. Every entry can be undone in one tap.
Which languages?
English, French and Spanish. Each team member picks their language, and each parent picks theirs in Maliah.
How does Maliah Classes handle ratios?
The director sets each group’s spots and ratio. Today’s dashboard counts children present and adults on duty, and shows whether ratios are met or exceeded.
